This was said by the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan in a press conference at the Kebon Sirih DPRD Building, Central Jakarta.

“The criteria, the requirements will be formulated with the decision of the Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office, so the point is for activities that are economically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. On the other hand, businesses that are not affected must comply with PP No. 78/2015,” explained the Governor of DKI Jakarta. .

Anies said, later the company could submit this matter to the Kadisnakertrans, and then the Kadisnakertrans would decide.

“Yes, it is straightforward, it is enough to show the condition of the company,” he said.

The local government of DKI, Anies continued, wants to provide a sense of justice for all parties. This is because there are businesses that actually experience economic growth during the pandemic and that is felt by the workers who work in this field.

“If the UMP is raised all, then the businesses affected by the Covid 19 pandemic will fall even further,” he added.

DKI Governor Anies Baswedan decided on an asymmetric policy in order to uphold a sense of justice. For companies affected by the pandemic, the 2021 UMP is the same as the 2020 UMP.

“Meanwhile, activities that are not affected by COVID-19 can experience an increase in the 2021 UMP, the amount of which follows the formula in PP No. 78 of 2015,” concluded Anies. (LH / AS)
